The iPad 2 at $730 beat the xoom at $800? Ouch... Not that i trust CR so much, but even with a margin for error, this seems rather telling...

Consumer Reports was clearly pageview trolling with the iPhone 4.
They rated it as their BEST smartphone, but said they wouldn't recommend it.
How does that make any sense?
Because, in their opinion, the iPhone 4's antenna was bad enough to make it bad at being a phone, which is its purpose, even though all the other parts of it were and still are amazing. However, they were completely wrong about that. Yes, maybe the reception gets worse when you touch that black spot, but I never leave the house without a case around it because the thing's expensive, so I never really got their point. That's why I tend to take CR with a grain of salt, but they did give it high ratings so... i guess you just have to read into their recommendations to get the full picture and decide for yourself.

A MacBook trackpad does NOT need a click to register.
You can change the settings so that you do not need to click at all, it simply takes your touch as a click. I use it in this way all the time, I NEVER click the touchpad.
+1 I also never click the trackpad.....I hate the clicking noise and it takes too long, much easier to tap.

So far mine has been working perfectly fine. The only thing more I'd ask from it is for it to have an option to turn on and off a vibrate when your phone is set to silent. Sometime at night, I'm not looking at my phone's general direction with the sound off. If I get a txt or Email push or w/e, I can hear it vibrate. Just needs that for me and then I'd never need another update from them.

I hope they add a little app icon to the bottom of those multitasking preview windows.. like they did with expose in Lion... I think this is a much nicer way to navigate recent open applications.. Can't wait to see it on the iPad! But what about swiping to the left of the first homescreen???? DASHBOARD!!!??? :D

Check the DNS settings in network setup in your computers, and in your router/modem. See what you have. Your ISP should have servers they recommend, try them. Or you can search the internet for other DNS servers, try some public ones out, like the aforementioned Google.
If they are set fine in your router/modem, you can set your computers to nothing or to the IP of your router, which is usually something like 192.168.0.1.
I've seen computers (or modems) that end up with half a dozen DNS servers listed, maybe not even typed in properly, and it would sit and wait with a blank page for 5 seconds before loading any webpage. Cleaning up DNS with a good server usually drops that wait time.
I also once had a similar problem to Popeye's, where I couldn't go to certain websites. I can't remember specifics, I think I replaced my Qwest DNS with Verizon's or something and it cleaned that up. That was many years ago, it's a little foggy.

I just got back from buying the last 16GB model in the store. Earlier after reading the article I quickly started calling all the stores in my area and came up empty handed. One of the stores finally said they did and would put it on hold, however upon showing up they admitted they didn't have one and that I should get the 32GB instead...WTF. Finally after returning home and continuing to call stores I found one that was telling the truth, so I grabbed it! Sooo happy!
Now I can start developing my iPhone apps for the iPad to make them universal, my customers will like that very much. Win-Win.

I'm pretty sure it's been at least a year. My buddy pre ordered me and him a copy. I'll see if he got the email.
I think this is a recent offering, it expires May 17th, and I have heard that Amazon (Europe?) expires May 16th, or when supply drops, whichever comes first.
You'll have to check out the fine print...

I took out the key and had a look but can't see anything from top that looks sticky and also the keypress is normal.
But the strange thing is, after taking out the back plate and trying to remove the keyboard ribbon connector from the motherboard, I broke a tiny bit off (the plastic top bit) accidentally and after that the left shift key worked again, however after the computer was on running a flash video in full screen (from one of them online flash video players) for a couple of hours the issue has re-appeared again.
Regarding cleaning it with alcohol, I'll give it a go and see what happens, but removing the motherboard completely seems a bit of a tricky business.

I am currently deciding whether to buy a 360 Slim or a PS3 Slim. PS3 has won out for one single reason. It has an inbuilt 3D blu ray player that will be getting support for years to come. Had the 360 included a blu ray player, I would be buying it. Sorry MS.

Personally, I so wish that was true. But in reality, not all fat persons eat meat, and not all skinny people are vegetarians.
You can be a vegan and still stuff yourself full with carbonates, sugar and lots of different fats.
While I agree Steve Jobs don't strike me as a half a** kinda guy. Not a I don't eat meat I just eat bread and cheese vegetarian. Vegans are usually all in. All vegans that I know (and that is not nearly representative sample) are very frail looking. Many of whom looked normal before changing their diet.
