I should ask, how long does DNA testing take? I was told in February that it takes between 2-5 days.
I wonder if that might be "banker's hours"? Send a courier to the lab, lab tech does the test and goes home for the night, reading the results in the morning. Who knows what kind of advanced equipment and tech the military has access to. Fly right to the Kabul lab, start the test, fly to the carrier, proceed under the impression that this is him, with the hosing-down, funeral and dumping. A few hours later, confirmation.

Regarding touch buttons, my post above. Regarding pressing the wrong side in the dark, although I have done that a couple of times in the past, I think they make the button concave so you can feel where it is without looking. I (personally) think that a glow in the dark button would look tacky, especially because they glow in that eery green colour. :(

Let's be honest, and speaking as a user who owns both the iWork and the Office suite, Microsoft Office is the superior productivity suite at the moment. Both have some things that the other does not, but overall Office is the best. I'm sure the majority of Mac users would agree...at least the ones that don't let the Microsoft-Apple rivalry get to their heads..

i'll be getting more involved with this as soon as my electricity supplier has finally changed, should be a couple of weeks, my current love overcharging me for leaving things running 24/7.
At least you can change providers, at least where I live there is only one so I'm stuck with what I have to pay:(

I'm in 3-2 and I havent found it to be difficult what so ever. Some parts require more thinking than others, but its not that bad once you learn to use all your "pixls" wisely...

I think for things like an OS there will always be the need for some kind of external medium (e.g. if you install from scratch - e.g. harddrive died and you need to install a new OS) ... but USB stick would be a nice alternative to DVD (I'm not using my DVD drive for anything and might want to skip it in the next update if there is an option to get a second drive instead of DVD)

Yep... Considering Apple did nothing to provide a Snow Leopard Server connector for Windows 7 and beyond, kinda makes Apple's server offering redundant in a mixed-platform environment these days... SLS in name had potential... but... whats under the hood isn't up to the quality of the Apple logo.
Great to see some EFFORT on polishing the server. Based on my experience using it over the last 18 months, they would have to give me the next version in order to even consider it... Guess they are :)

Unix and Linux are used for way more than just "web server". Maybe you should try working 1 day in IT before you talk about IT. ;)
Of course, you probably don't want to hear the truth and wouldn't accept it anyhow, keep believing in Windows' importance because that's what you see on the desktop, I'll keep working on real OSes in my cushy IT job far away from anything made by Redmond.

Don't presume just because you have an "IT job in unix or whatever", that everyone else who doesn't work at your company is a computer idiot. Not that this has any impact on "IDC research" but I've actually worked with languages from PL/1 (that is...Programming Language One!) up to .NET. And I can tell you that most of these "Windows bashing / Linux conquest rhetorics" are only taken up by actual computer idiots who just follow one side of hype...or college kids (who at least don't know any better...yet). Go to a REAL computer forum like Ars Technica and see what they think of "enterprise Macs" there. ;)

I think they also fixed Addressbook. I don't remember it looking quite like that. Had to resync my contacts. Also made me resync my bookmarks.

I thought the difference between little/big endian was that the byte order was flipped, not the bit order. So 01 in BE/LE would always be 1, 10 - 2, etc. Or am I wrong?
You are correct!!! 10 will always be 2. 01 will always be 1. Endianness swaps the bytes, not the bits. Binary addition would be hell if the bits were swapped... Plus then writing bit-operators and using bit-masks in C would just be a pain in the arse when it came time to compile that game for 5 different platforms.

4S. I like the name, and it makes sense to keep continuity with the previous naming scheme (3GS). I guess we'll see a true iPhone 5 next summer.But then they would have to call it the iPhone 6.
