In very simple terms : Progressive experience means your job responsibilities increase with time.
Have a question related to that:
If job / EB2 stipulates Bachelors + 5 years criteria, does it imply 5 years after obtaining the degree or can the experience be cumulative ?

what is new about what is being said in this article? We all know that bill is unlikely this year. Bush does not have a control over what happens in Congress. So anything he says is an expression of opinion. Besides, that opinion is the opinion of everyone who understands the circumstances. Hello,
Last week i received RFE for my wife's father's name. The name on birth certificate is different from school leaving & other docs. I'm trying to get it corrected from Mumbai.
I beleive if i get a correct one matching with other docs, i should be ok.
Another issue, i have is i have rented an apartment under my name close to my work in the same state. All my docs have my home address, my question is will it affect my case if they find another address under my name?? I still have official address as my home everywhere...

Why are you going to other forums for advice. Those other forums are after making money from traffic and ads. They want you to suffer as long as possible so that they make money. They even charge per question. You are being anti-IV by visiting other forums. I hope you see the difference between them and IV.

Well, that is certainly frustrating! Your best option would be to get in touch with the designated Application Support Center to see if they can either notify the USCIS Service center of the error or have your daughter come in right away for fingerprinting. ASC phone numbers are generally not made public, but in many locations, ASC staff has provided local immigration attorneys with a phone number to use for urgent or unusual situations such as yours.
If you don't have an attorney who can call the ASC for you, you might consider just going to the ASC in person with your daughter to explain the situation and ask for their assistance.

Hi,
I am on h1b status and my wife is on h4. She applied for an h1b(COS) this year (FY 2011) and the application has been approved. We received all the documents regarding H1b approval(except I-94). her employer said that we won't get an extended I-94 in this case.
My concerns are,
our visa's are getting expired on Sep 23(as per I-94 on visa its till 30Sep) and my company is planning to extend both H1B and H4. As she would be able to start work only from Oct 1 2010 and the visa is expiring on Sep 23, I think we have to extend her visa to avoid out-of-status. If I extend her h4 will it make her already approved H1b invalid?
if its required to extend the H4 is it mandatory to start working on 1 Oct 2010? (she is pregnant now and due is on Nov 2010 , so cannot start on Oct-1)

A lot of people don't submit a formal AC21 letter when they change jobs, but if you want to do so, then it is better that you don't assume that they are going to look at your h1b app and figure you used AC21.... in most cases, uscis doesn't even look at AC21 before sending an RFE or NOID when I140 is revoked. Take what you can out of this...

If going out of the country for a long time as a GC holder, you may need to apply for travel document (returning resident ????) with USCIS.

As I understand the process, if your date is current, the USCIS will accept your application - meaning they ARE processing applications with a priority date matching or exceeding yours.
During the July 2007 fiasco, the cut-off dates were current, allowing everyone to apply. If we submitted our application and the date is current at the time, why do we have to wait until our date becomes current again? Shouldn't they process the application within 6 months or less?
You application will continue to be processed when it is within the processing time - visa allocation happens only when your PD is current, which apparently is not. Moreover - Visa Bulletin is just a Forecast based on current demand so, actuals can vary at any time. There is so much to read about this in many forums including this, so you may want do more research before asking - I have a reason to tell you this because your poor soul will soon be hounded by GURUS for not researching enough :-) Hope you understand!

There are organizations there that support all immigrants, and CIR is not just about undocumented workers, it will benefit us as well. IV should sign-up and join the tide.
